We have a keen interest in sustaining and promoting the Impressionist movement. With this in mind, we have formed the Laurel Fine Arts Foundation. Funding for the Foundation is provided primarily by Mary Laurel and the estate of Charles Laurel Vavrina. In addition to their initial investment, they donate a percentage of their sales to support the Foundation. The Foundation serves several purposes. It maintains a permanent collection of representative works of Charles Laurel Vavrina. These paintings, drawings, prints and posters demonstrate the variety of his body of work, and his progress as an artist. There are also paintings from other artists in our personal collection that we will donate to the Foundation, including Gérard Valtier and Aad van der Hyde. There is an impressive art library which will be available for use by those wishing to expand their understanding of the history and important players in the world of art. There are also many technical books to assist students in developing their talents. The Foundation makes periodic awards of grants and scholarships to organizations that promote and support the arts. In this way we can help assure the continuation of the interest in art, especially in Impressionist Art.
